Cambridge English: Advanced can now mean C2 for high-achievers

Advanced is a high-level exam for those needing to combine knowledge of the English language with fluency and sophistication. High-achieving candidates taking Cambridge English Advanced sometimes display ability beyond the C1 level. MOLAN Information System

This website presents the main outcomes of the MOLAN network project. MOLAN’s ultimate aim is to motivate young Europeans in formal education to learn and to continue learning languages. In March 2002, the EU heads of state and government agreed on the need to improve the mastery of basic skills, “in particular by teaching at least two foreign languages from a very early age”. The implementation of this policy is by no means easy. One of the reasons is that many young people do not believe in the value of multilingualism, dropping languages in secondary education or focusing exclusively on English. ...more

 

2010 ALTE Testing Courses

Places still available-ALTE Introductory Course in Language Testing This one-week course will be taught by Dr Lynda Taylor, Consultant to University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, and Professor Cyril Weir of the University of Bedfordshire. Participants are expected to have a professional interest in testing, and may be employed by an ALTE member or affiliate, though are not expected to have a profound knowledge of the subject area.
